The "Sun" Clock

Detail from the Sun Building at Broadway and Chambers.
Originally A.T. Stewart's Marble Palace, arguably New York's first department store.
Stewart later built his Cast Iron Palace up the street between 9th and 10th Streets in the Village.
After Stewart's death, his store was incorporated into John Wanamaker's New York store across 9th Street, now Wanamaker Place.
But I digress.

This building was later home to the New York Sun newspaper when this timepiece was mounted.
